Experience the enchantment of Winter Solstice with Night Brunch!
The Winter Solstice is here—let’s embrace the weird and wonderful! Time to celebrate the longest night of the year with mystical vibes, unique traditions, and a touch of magic.
Victorian holiday traditions were filled with warmth, charm, and creativity. Christmas, in particular, became a time of elaborate decorations, including the first Christmas trees adorned with candles and handmade ornaments. Families exchanged thoughtful gifts, often handcrafted or sentimental, and holiday cards featuring elaborate designs became popular. The season was marked by festive feasts, caroling, and parties, with the spirit of generosity and togetherness at the heart of the celebrations.

Ensure Future Generations Experience History
Help make history accessible and enjoyable by preserving Four Mile Historic Park as Denver’s premier destination for Western storytelling. This year alone, over 10,000 students have experienced the rich history of Four Mile Historic Park firsthand—a number that includes a remarkable 24% increase in students from Title 1 schools. With your support, we can grow our reach even further, creating opportunities for more students and building partnerships that deepen our impact. A gift of $400 covers the full cost of a field trip for up to 100 students, making a life-changing experience accessible to those who might not otherwise have the chance to connect with history. Join us in making a difference, one field trip at a time!

Education Programs
Four Mile’s on-site programs offer students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history of Denver’s early days through hands-on learning. Students tailor their experience in the “Four Mile Sampler” by selecting from various activities, including butter-making and exploring Four Mile’s many outbuildings. In “Cherry Creek Traveler,” students explore preparations families made for the journey west, examining wagons and essentials for the trip. “Four Mile Farm Life” comprises five activities that guide students through a morning at a 19th-century farmhouse.
Through events, interactive programming, and education, Four Mile connects guests to the region’s western heritage by sharing the stories and experiences of those who shaped Denver 165 years ago. Our signature events include the Independence Day Celebration, Pumpkin Harvest Festival, December Delights, Brunch with Father Christmas, and the Four Mile Rendezvous Gala.
Four Mile is always looking for community members to join the board of directors. If you are interested, please fill out the board nomination form and we will be in touch!
