There is a charge to participate in Four Mile Historic Park’s summer day camp, and spaces are limited. Registration is open and available online, with registration closing ten business days prior to the start date for each camp. Camp fees include all supplies and snacks.

 

CAMPER TIPS

Four Mile Historic Park is an outdoor facility. Please prepare your child(ren) for all weather conditions.

 

Wear a hat Wear shoes (no sandals or crocs!!) Bring a jacket—just in case Wear and bring sunscreen Bring a water bottle with child’s name.

 

Campers should bring non-perishable sack lunches.

 

All snacks will be provided. If your child has any food allergies please send him or her with a snack labeled with his/her name.

This full-day, week-long camp incorporates fun and instructive history-centered activities, such as wood-stove cooking, attending a one-room school, and quilt-making. Campers will also spend time outdoors discovering Cherry Creek ecosystems and the critters that inhabit them. Camp-goers should be prepared to get dirty and have FUN! Designed for children ages 6-11.

 

Activities:

Explore Cherry Creek and learn about the animals and plants that live there

Take a wagon ride on the original Cherokee Trail

Enjoy animal programs with live raptors, snakes, and turtles

Take blindfolded listening walks through nature

Learn Native American signs for the animals that live on the Park

Savor campfire treats, and much more!

 

Choose from two week-long sessions: June 19-23 and July 17-21, 2017.

 

Cost breakdown is as follows. FMHP Members receive a discount.

 

Full Day, 9:00 am-3:00 pm

$270, $243 Members

 

Half Day, 9:00 am-12:00 pm

$180, $162 Members

 

Before Care, 7:00-9:00 am

$5 per camper per day

 

After Care, 3:00-5:30 pm

$5 per camper per day

(Late charge for After Care pickup after 5:30 pm is $5 per minute.)

How Do I Register My Child?

1. Fill out the Registration & Emergency Medical Form (one per child)

2. Email or mail these forms (one of each per child) with payment and a copy of certificate of immunization to:
