The vision, mission, and value statements outline our purpose, priorities, and what we strive to become. They will guide our decision-making processes in all arenas, from strategic planning to programming to stewardship to community engagement and beyond.
Four Mile is a unique jewel that has endured for more than 150 years by re-inventing itself. Over its lifetime, many have painstakingly rescued the historic house and grounds to guarantee its survival; and many will continue the work needed to sustain the Park for future generations. This includes all constituencies: staff, board of directors, members, volunteers and the communities we serve. As the world continues to change, it is Four Mile’s ability to adapt that will ensure its longevity.
What do we aspire to be? Right now, our strategic planning committee is working hard on answering this and other questions. We look forward to continued conversations and engagement as we progress on our journey this year.
To educate a diverse community through experiences which promote preservation, interpretation and enjoyment of Denver’s western heritage.
Connecting the spirit of Denver's storied frontier past to the present day and beyond!
